**THE IG REPORT IS OUT**
4:05 PM ET - Gregg Jarrett, Fox News Analyst and author of the upcoming release, The Russian Hoax, The Illicit Scheme to Clear Hillary Clinton and Sara Carter, Fox News Contributor and Investigative Reporter, will walk us through the first steps of the long awaited inspector general’s’ report.
4:30 PM ET - Freedom Caucus Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida has been speaking about the outrageous information regarding congressional lawmakers being threatened by Deputy Assistant Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. He will also give us his perspective on the IG Report, and the implications and news that this brings to the table.
Republican lawmakers blasted the Justice Department following a report that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to subpoena records from House Intelligence Committee members and staff, with one conservative lawmaker saying staff have been “physically shaking” in his office due to Rosenstein’s “threats.”
One House committee aide in an email accused Rosenstein of launching a “sustained personal attack” against a congressional staffer “in retaliation for vigorous oversight,” and said the subpoena threat from the DOJ’s No. 2 was “downright chilling.”
A DOJ official further said Rosenstein “never threatened anyone in the room with a criminal investigation.”
5:05 PM ET - Gubernatorial Candidate Rep. Ron DeSantis of Florida, member of the Freedom Caucus and also part of the House Oversight Committee, he has been reviewing the report and is here to discuss the findings.
A slew of FBI and DOJ officials could face a reckoning when Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz on Thursday releases a long-awaited report detailing his review of the Hillary Clinton investigation during the 2016 presidential race.
“I think it’s going to put a lot of the missing pieces in this giant puzzle together,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., predicted Wednesday on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.”
For more than a year, Horowitz has been reviewing the FBI and DOJ’s actions related to its investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.
The report is not expected to address the DOJ and FBI’s actions taken in the Trump-Russia investigation, or relitigate the Clinton case itself. But it will mark the most definitive accounting of the email probe to date, looking at – among other things – whether “certain underlying investigative decisions were based on improper considerations.” (h/t Fox News)
5:30 PM ET - Daniel Hoffman, Fox News Contributor and 30 Year CIA Operations Officer discusses the miscarriage of justice that has been officially revealed today by the this IG report.
