GREGG JARRETT HOSTING

4:05 PM ET - Joe DiGenova, of DiGenova and Toensing, visits today to discuss and commiserate over the legal atrocities being committed by the Mueller counsel. Why is Paul Manafort is solitary confinement, day after day? And yet, Hillary Clinton who willfully destroyed subpoenaed evidence, a free woman. When we look at Rod Rosenstein and Jeff Sessions are we to believe that the Russia indictments are the extent of their powers with regard to this Russia probe? Lastly, what right does Congress have to subpoena the President’s translator. What world leader would ever meet with our nation’s leader again if this is the precedent we are looking to set. We will explore.

“It has never happened in American history,” said Harry Obst, who served as an interpreter for seven presidents. “And if it hasn’t happened in over 200 years, there must be a good reason for it.”

A growing number of Democrats are asking that interpreter Marina Gross be hauled before a congressional committee to reveal what she heard during the one-on-one meeting between the two world leaders. They also are demanding that Gross turn over any notes that she took during Monday’s secret, two-hour meeting in Helsinki.

“It may be unprecedented to subpoena a translator to reveal details of a private meeting between the president and another world leader, but Trump’s actions are unprecedented in a way that harms our national security,” Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr., D-N.J., wrote Tuesday in a letter to the top lawmakers on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. (H/T USA TODAY)

4:30 PM ET - Sara Carter - Fox News Contributor and Investigative Reporter and David Schoen, Civil Liberties Attorney, are here to talk about what we learned this week from the Russia Summit, the hearings on the Hill and the push of more to come. With the news today that Michael Cohen taped his conversations with President Trump regarding payment to Karen McDougal, it looks like the news cycle is about to change again. Rudy Giuliani says that the tape reveals nothing, and shows that President had nothing to hide and that no payments were made.

The recordings were found as part of the raid on Michael Cohen’s home office and hotel carried out earlier this year in New York, the sources told ABC News.

The New York Times first reported the news of the recordings.

The Playboy model in question is reportedly Karen McDougal, who has previously claimed that she had an affair with Trump. The White House previously denied McDougal’s claims.

McDougal, who was Playmate of the Month in December 1997 and Playmate of the Year in 1998, alleges that she had a 10-month romantic affair with Trump in 2006. After being silent for more than a decade, McDougal started speaking about it earlier this year, first opening up in an interview with The New Yorker’s Ronan Farrow in February. (H/T ABC NEWS)
