4:05 PM ET - Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, stops by the show to talk about the pending confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh. With so many of President Trump’s nominations sitting in limbo, many Senators are ready to support the SCOTUS pick and get him seated on the court to get something done ahead of the midterms.

In their zeal to portray Judge Kavanaugh as the embodiment of our greatest fears, Democrats have gone borking mad. As if announcing a professional wrestling match, Sen. Richard Blumenthal described Judge Kavanaugh as nothing less than “your worst nightmare.” Sen. Kamala Harris went a step further when she warned that Kavanaugh’s confirmation would result in the “destruction of the Constitution of the United States.” But Sen. Jeff Merkley one-upped them all when he stated, with no hint of irony, that Judge Kavanaugh "is a nominee who wants to pave the path to tyranny.”

In a moment of indiscretion, it seems that President Donald Trump has nominated Genghis Khan to the Supreme Court. (H/T USA Today)

4:30 PM ET - Andy McCarthy, Fox News Contributor, columnist for National Review and former Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York joins today to talk about the President’s comments towards Attorney General Sessions. He will also talk to about the Manafort case and the forged evidence calling into question the case of the prosecution.

What ‘Verify’ Means

Consider this: The representation that the FBI’s verification procedures include sending the application to “appropriate field offices” is standard in FISA warrant applications. It is done because the FBI’s Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide (DIOG) mandates that the bureau “ensure that information appearing in a FISA application that is presented to the [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court] has been thoroughly vetted and confirmed.” (See House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes March 1, 2018, letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, embedded here.) The point is to assure the court that the FBI has corroborated the allegations in the warrant application in the usual way.

A hypothetical shows how this works. Let’s say that X, an informant, tells the FBI in Washington that Y, a person in St. Louis, told him that Z, the suspect, is plotting to rob the bank. (h/t National Review)

5:05 PM ET - Jonathan Gilliam, author of the newly released book, Sheep No More, and Danielle McLaughlin, an Attorney & Constitutional Expert who co-wrote The Federalist Society: How Conservatives took the Law Back from Liberals, today they talk about the ongoing struggle of fake news. With reporters like Jim Acosta chastising people in the crowd at Trump rallies and then attacking people like Sean and others who support the President; it would seem we have crossed over to a desire to control thought and speech that does not agree with our own. So much for the party of tolerance.

5:30 PM ET - Congressman Lou Barletta of Pennsylvania’s 11th District, is running for Senate in Pennsylvania, and tonight President Donald Trump will stump for the candidate in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Today he joins to talk about his race, running against liberal Bob Casey, and the event tonight.
