Multipe people were shot today in Alabama by a 17 year old black male.

This is the 2nd mass shooting today.
The Alabama example you posted was only one of the two mass shootings that happened yesterday.
Another mass shooting happened on the 29th.
Another one on the 26th.
Another two on the 25th.
Three on the 24th.
That’s just the last week. We’ve had 48 total in August.
It kind of sucks, but this is the price of freedom.
Gun control is needed.

No it isn’t.
What are you going to do about 48 mass shootings a month that isn’t going to infringe on the 2nd Amendment? We’re just going to have to learn to deal with these kinds of things happening on the regular. The Founding Fathers knew that blood would occasionally need to be spilled in order to maintain the Republic.

It all depends on how you define “mass shooting”.
The most common definition is the killing of 3 or more people. This one doesn’t qualify under the most common definition of mass shooting.
If it’s number of people shot. Most big cities with the gang bangers are on the top of the list and no law ever created will stop them.
People control is what’s needed. The guns didn’t kill anyone by themself.

Reports now stating 5 people are dead and 21 injured.
It’s weird that someone can shoot 100 people, but that’s not considered a mass shooting by the most common definition unless 3 of those 100 people shot die after the fact.
So it’s now a mass shooting now by the most common definition? Right?
Either way you slice its a lot of shootings. And it’s not the full number. We live in a ■■■■■■ up country when it comes to gun violence.

It is not about thoughts and prayers per se and with respect I think you know that. What it speaks to is that after each mass shooting two things are certain. One is that thoughts and prayers are offered and the second is the claim that it is not an appropriate time to talk about sensible gun laws reform.
