Iconic television star and famed comedian Bill Cosby was found guilty of sexual assault Thursday; shocking the courtroom after just 14 hours of juror deliberation.
Cosby was found guilty on three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault, charges which could bring a combined prison sentence of 30 years and $75,000 in penalties.
“Cosby’s new legal team, which was headed by famed Michael Jackson attorney Tom Mesereau, failed to prove Constand was ‘greedy’ and wanted to extort money out of Cosby. Cosby’s chief accuser explained in court that she was simply at the trial ‘for justice,’” writes Fox News.
45-year old Andrea Constand told the court that Cosby gave her three blue pills he referred to as “your friends” while the two were in private.
She believed the pills to be “herbal supplements” to help relieve aches and pains, but says she woke up hours later with the iconic comedian “violating her.”
His appeals will take years. Will he remain free on bail pending appeals? Judge hates him. But if allowed to remain on bail there are interesting appellate issues.
He’s a total scumbag. I doubt he’ll last until the appeals are completed.
As I pointed out in the earlier thread on this subject, Cosby will likely serve at the above institution, which primarily houses male geriatric offenders. He may even get to room with Jerry Sandusky.
As Cosby is 80 years of age, any prison term he gets pretty much amounts to a life sentence, particularly given the recent decline of his health.

It certainly is not typical for a convicted criminal to remain free on appeal but it certainly could happen. From what I’ve observed this judge doesn’t like Cosby so I wouldn’t be surprised if he is ordered into custody immediately. I’d be surprised given his age if he spends more than a couple of years in jail even though he could get up to 30 years.

People say a lot of things. When you start making things all legal and binding, it’s not uncommon they start saying other things.
Ivanka Trump said Donald Trump raped her in a sworn deposition. Donald Trump has been more credibly accused of rape than Bill Clinton, and there are at least 18 named accusers that have accused Donald Trump of sexual assault.
You might want to keep ■■■■■■■ the Bill Clinton chicken, but most voters weren’t eligible to vote when Bill Clinton was in office. The only people that carries any weight with are old farts who would never vote for a Democrat anyway.

Glad to hear about this conviction, although I doubt he will spend any time in jail. Obviously though his legacy is forever tarnished. Bet there won’t be any further reruns of the Cosby show now, which is too bad for the rest of the cast.
And in other sexual assault news, the latest to be accused is… Tom Brokaw. I wasn’t surprised to hear about Matt Lauer, but this one is surprising.
