The rouble has been a surprise outperformer in 2022 thanks to a high current account surplus, owing to high commodity prices for exports and falling imports amid ongoing sanctions. Russia’s strict capital controls have helped to shield the financial system from sanctions.Nov 15, 2022

I remember when people laughed when it was suggested the Yuan would surpass the dollar, the Rouble has improved since the war it’s a fact.

That’s not from today. We are discussing today. It was stabilize by their national bank. But it wasn’t real. Much like the rest of the Russian economy today

Keep laughing

Since the sanctions war, Russia has passed Germany as the largest economy in Europe.

As Ursula von der Leyen has often said, “Take that Putin!”

Lol exactly these people are delusional and believe lies, Russia has outperformed expectations, this war support was meant to cripple them financially and it’s not, funny thing is India, and China are buying 100% of their natural resources from Russia, while we export all new EV manufacturing to China. How can anyone say this is a success when their economy is better now than previous to the invasion? These are the same people who believed the media when they said the yuan would never surpass the dollar.

That article is from a year ago.

Why is it so difficult to read just basic information in things you post?

Final interesting point about what you posted! People on this forum post and tout that US exceeding all European Union economies that we are somehow doing great, when Russia is exceeding almost every single country in the EU outside of Japan and if they keep it up they will surpass Japan.

LOL sorry pal but Bill from PAs post also validates what I’m saying.

Hey @Bill.in.PA you want to cite your source for those numbers or nah?

This is what the Liberals , groupies, war mongers support.

The post form bill is unsourced. I’ll let him source it first and then we can chat about what’s real and what’s not…… pal

MSN is his source says at the bottom

It was sourced, MSN, you just choose to ignore it. I know my source was last year because this year isn’t complete yet.

They come from the World Bank, July 1, 2023.

Boom! They will now say it isn’t a valid source, just like they are complaining that the % of the ruble growth outpaced the dollar and claim it’s last year when this year isn’t concluded yet.

Intellinews. Aka Moscow times. Good source. Not sarcasm

And i love the article If we squint really hard in some ways the Russian economy outpaces the German one.

Anyway that wasn’t our discussion. The ruble has fallen to nearly record lows.

Pretty sure that says 2022. But thank you.

Except it hasn’t! Bill proved you wrong

Pretty sure 2023 isn’t over yet, in 2021 you guys were saying the ruble was collapsing, in 2022 it showed it didn’t, this is the same dog and pony show.

The figures are for 2022. The data was published in July 2023.
