Try proving intent when you refuse to leave after the cops come in response to a trespasser.

If I see you on my home property I can report you as a trespasser without having the property posted. If I catch you on my empty lot, it must be posted to accuse you of trespass, unless you refuse to leave when I demand you do so. Even commercial property owners can have you arrested for trespassing without having their property posted.
