That’s because people and businesses can’t print money like the Federal government can. In the simplest terms there comes a point when the consumers and businesses have to cut back. If the price of a Big Mac keeps going up then there comes a point when no one will buy it. Not exactly rocket science.

Furthermore, inflation or more specifically to cost of goods has not decreased, but rather the rate of increased has slowed. Based on your post I would also assume that your in the camp that the government can incessantly deficit spend as you don’t believe there’s any negative to that.
