1. I suspect new research will confirm the Isreali study, and then the only question will be the variants. Soon wie will have data on that too as they become more prevalent in the US.

2. Even if vaccination doens’t limit transmission, when we reach herd immunity and the virus drops way, way off, and importantly, even contracting the virus leads to mild illness, masks will be pointless.

3. Maybe we end up wearing masks in flu season when in corwded public places in the future? Been pretty great that there has been no flu, and colds are very scarce as well.

Even if we reach what you believe herd immunity is, there will still be vulnerable. Is your kid still get into others business? Are you gonna just drop it because the political weapon won’t be use able any more?

My last point was just an observation. Other cultures routinely where masks during flu season, and when people are feeling poor. I wonder if we will start that too.

For me? I want to wear a mask. Why? Because I have so many responsibilities I cannot afford down time. Same reasoning why I don’t engage in risky activities.

However, the minute you TELL me I cannot is the exact moment I will defy you. Yes. Freedom is that important to me.

I live in a pretty crowded state with cases creeping up again as the variants take hold, so we’re still wearing them.

But we’re doin pretty good on vaccines, so hope we have a ‘normal’ summer…
