The American economy continued to roar to life under President Trump and the Republican-controlled Senate in 2020, with a record number of Americans employed and unemployment at the lowest level in 50 years.

“As we begin this new year, our economy is booming,” President Trump told a packed crowd in Toledo, Ohio Thursday night. “Wages are soaring, workers are thriving, and America’s future has never looked brighter.”

“Friday brought more good news, as the Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that the number of employed Americans — 158,803,000 — set a 25th record under President Trump,” reports CNS News.

“Year to year — since December 2018 — 1,858,000 more workers have been added to American payrolls,” adds the website. “The unemployment rate in December remained at its 50-year low of 3.5 percent.”
