Absolute false garbage. He’s argued that political harassment suits cannot go forward while he’s in office. There’s a way to get at the President and it’s called following the legitimate impeachment process. If he’s broken laws, indict him in the house, impeach him and convict him. If not, then you’re just going to have to deal with the fact that he’s the president for the next 5 years.
Seriously though, think about that for a minute. Do you want anyone to be able to claim ANYTHING against a sitting President and be allowed to force him to turn over any personal information as a result?
Anyone with an IQ over 80 should understand that this is dirty politics being played by the left as it’s transparent as hell.
He has NOT asked for “absolute immunity”, that’s a damn talking point pushed by the left. He’s asked for TEMPORARY immunity from harassment claims. . . as should be afforded to ANY President. You cannot seriously think it’s ok for the President to spend his 4 years fighting random claims, right? If it’s a felony, then YES, Congress should go after him… but so far, there has been ZERO evidence of wrongdoing and he’s been under investigation for 3.5 years now.

TEMPORARY still eludes you I guess. I listened to the SC arguments. They’re talking about WHILE HE’S PRESIDENT. . . and they’re not talking about felony accusations. The President should NEVER be hampered by a random court, we have a process for dealing with wrong doing. Follow it.

The Justices were asking the House Attorney for limiting factors. That would address your position that they are worried about abuse and harrassment, but it does not change the fact that the President’s attorneys are asking for absolute immunity.
Do you know the damn definition of ABSOLUTE? Did you not hear the word TEMPORARY? Did you not hear the word CIVIL -vs- CRIMINAL? Come on, seriously.
Sure, I heard Sekulow use the term temporary presidential immunity in the SC. That doesn’t remove the arguments the President’s attorneys made during this case in the previous court appearances.
Yes, they are claiming that the criminal investigations are exempt from the President. He can not be investigated.
My quote from Consovoy was in this same case that is before the SC. He affirms that the position is that the President can not be investigated. Even for shooting someone on 5th Ave.
LOCAL authorities. Why do you all get so selective and turn that statement into “absolute immunity”.
The same attorney stated that due the this same argument, Nixon never should have been investigated and never should have been impeached.

Immune from investigation means immune from prosecution
Well you see, they can’t really do anything since Trump isn’t a resident of New York any more. You know, because completely innocent people flee the jurisdiction every day.

I don’t know about that. Investigations are clearly irrelevant. Look at how many think Hillary should be prosecuted despite multiple investigations coming up empty.

investigations did not “come up empty”. They came up with crimes that "no reasonable (leftist partisan) prosecutor would prosecute.
