Outside of the government leveling charges, since I went to law school I have been a advocate of the British system of law. Over there, if you sue somebody and lose you are responsible for all of the court charges as well as all of the Defendants legal fees.

I don’t believe that Donald has the business discipline to resist this form of tax/insurance fraud.Almost any business with leveraged assets has to face this dilemma of assigning value to the banks and insurance companies vs assigning value for those same assets for tax purposes.

I think we will find that Donald has committed this fraud for decades. He can try to blame his CFO or his accounting firm, but it’s going to be hard for him to claim he didn’t know.

Donald’s best defense is going to be what I call the Don Jr defense. He was too dumb to know he was committing a crime.

That is why the DA’s office will be doing their best to flip someone in the Trump organization who will testify that either Trump directed it or was aware of it. It is the only thing that will nail him to the wall.
Otherwise he will start throwing anyone and everyone under the bus. And I would not be surprised it that included his kids.

And do you think it is justice that a citizen’s government could target them with false fabricated accusations that the citizen needs to defend at great expense, and if the charges are prove false, the citizen is financially stripped desire being innocent? Doesn’t that make the justice system ripe for political abuse?

No one is spending any money on the grand jury except the state.

If the grand jury of his peers vote to indict, then the accusations have merit and it goes to trial.
