Problem is that in the real world reasonable people have to be factored in.

Reality:

  • 35% of the base will vote “R” no matter what.
  • 35% of the base will vote “D” no matter what.
  • The 15%+/- left and right of center are the deciding factors in elections.

Trump cost us (at various times) the Senate, the House, and the Oval Office in the past because he was such a polarizing character that he drove the 15%+/- more left than right.

Trumpism can win primaries, it will not win General Election consistently.
