When you have on a daily basis 90% bad stories about you in the press and leakers to that press all over the government, then you need to do a lot of “preemptive” things, but Obama told his people not to release his records, too. He just didn’t have a raging anti-Obama press to deal with and the all-too-willing press would never go against his wishes.
When the press treats Trump with the deference they showed Obama he will not need to go to “extraordinary” measures to have his privacy.

Both president’s transcripts are their own to do with as they please.
Trump pointing out that Obama wouldn’t release his is a factual thing. He wouldn’t.
You are free to point out that Trump will not release his, too. I have no problem with that fact.

You are right. I can’t comprehend that you are equivalencing refusing to release records (which every president has done) with preemptively threatening legal action and sending allies down to try and seize the records.
It’s a crazy equivalencing. Plus throw in your accusations of tokenism despite knowing Obama graduated with excellent grades it’s just weird your single-minded desire to demean Obama.
Transcripts:Transcripts, apples to apples. Trump actively hiding transcripts (which, laughably, isn’t even necessary) after calling for Obama to release his is the real issue, not the shiny surface object to which you’re trying to deflect.
I have a degree from a university with a massive endowment, large enough that the school that gives completely free rides (tuition, room, board, books, etc.) to economically disadvantaged students.
Yet, like clockwork, my phone rings with yet another request for a donation of any size.
This is incorrect. There is both direct evidence that at the least Trump wasn’t exceptional - i.e., he is not listed as graduating with honors - and indirect, in that experience shows that if he actually was such a distinguished student, Trump would have his transcript engraved on Mt. Rushmore.
Oh yes he did. It was all about the grades. He flip flopped on the birther issue when it was convenient.
Im saying he was elected by his peers. Given that this is a coveted position, I doubt they elected hime just to make the black guy feel good.

Trump called for Obama’s records to be released. Why do you refuse to acknowledge this point? You have a lot of nerve telling people to stop saying things when what they have said has been demonstrated to you time and time again.
Trump was scared ■■■■■■■■ that somehow, those grades would be leaked.
And AGAIN, a cursory review of his Twitter feed will supply the proof that you seem to think doesn’t exist.
As far as others’ opinions go: I will log off from here for the last time if you can cite another President whose chief of staff AND Secretary of State (or equivalent high-level officials) called him a moron to his face.
He obviously has ADHD, and probably a learning disability, based on the quality of his written language.
They both wanted to achieve the same goal so if it’s convenient, I’ll argue the means are equal too.
I have adult ADD, severe enough to require daily medication. I work in a technical field that requires precision of language, and I learned years ago to double check business communications before sending them.
This moron can’t be bothered to spell his wife’s name correctly in a Tweet to the nation. TBH, I can’t decide if that’s laziness, stupidity, or both.
