Right.
Because I believe all the bad press about Jared Kushner and I believe all the bad press about Harvard, too.

Yes.
Are you saying they positively elected Obama because they all thought he was deserving?
How do you know that?
What we do know is that at that time there was a lot of crap going on at Harvard - accusations of discrimination by the administration against black students and black staff.
The idea that they elected Obama to assuage some of that sort of thing is not beyond the realm of possibilty. We know he was NOT appointed by virtue of his grades, as used to be the practice. That practice ended long before he was elected.
M
Everyone’s transcript is sealed, not just Obama’s. Obama didn’t go to any length to sea his transcript.
But I know one person that went the extra mile to ensure his transcripts were inviolate and you know who that person is.

Dude gets elected president of Harvard law review by his peers and this guy is like “how do you know it wasn’t white guilt?”
C’mon man. How do you know he didn’t give out free pez dispensers at recess and that locked down the victory? I mean, it’s possible. You don’t know that Harvard law school doesn’t have recess. And you definitely don’t know whether Obama had hundreds of pez dispensers. Personally, I think it was the pez. Just way too many unanswered questions.

Actually, Obama went the extra mile too. He was asked to reveal them and he refused to allow them to be revealed.
You seem to be anxious to get Trump’s while not at all anxious to get Obama’s, and if not you, then many of your bretheren.
M
Just like every other president yet you single out Obama for this behavior being suspicious. I wonder why that is? Trump had his lawyer send letters to his schools. He had his lawyer call the schools to threaten them with legal action. He also sent some fellow alumni to physically take his records from the school.
Oddly, you don’t find anything odd with Trump.
And I don’t really care about Trumps grades.

This is simply a fact: He was the first black elected to the presidency of the Law Review and it happened at a time when Harvard was turning itself inside out over black students and black professors.
Whether or not he got it on merit is and will remain unknown. No one is going to challenge it, of course, but you’ll just have to forgive me if I see the possibility that he was elected as a token at a time when tokens were handy on campus.
You don’t have to see the possibilty, if you don’t want to.

NO, I don’t single him out.
I MOCKED those here who singled out Trump, while giving Obama a pass. I used their own words to do it.

I see the possibility, albeit a negligible one imho. So no, I won’t sit here and try to argue it was impossible. Thanks for spelling out your rationale.
Well, we do know Obama had very good grades at Harvard so your “feeling” that he may not have deserved being editor seems on thin ice. Token indeed.
Trump singled himself out when he too extraordinary measures to ensure his records remained secret.

Lots of people have very good grades at Harvard. They aren’t all elected to the presidency of the Law Review.
There is no distinction in that - especially when they stopped requiring it be the top student, as was the case in the past.
That certainly opened it up to being poltical, rather than simply on merit.

And AGAIN, Obama also went to extraordinary measures. He refused to allow them to be released.
You’re just trying to find some sort of distinction or difference and there isn’t one. Neither man wanted their records pawed over.
Their right, of course. Why don’t you just respect that?
M
Ok. But we know he received very good grades while at HArvard. So that likely factored in. I’m not sure what drives you to the tokenism explanation.
It’s ok for Trump to criticize the sitting president for not releasing his transcripts, but Trump’s transcripts are off limits because… ???
None of this would be of interest to anyone if Donald had not criticized Obama for not releasing his while at the same time bragging about his own grades.

Marky, you clearly don’t know what “extraordinary” means. Not a single president voluntarily released their grades. That is ordinary.
Extraordinary measures is having your lawyer preemptively threaten legal action.
OMG! You are equivalencing refusing to release records (which every president has done) with preemptively threatening legal action and sending allies down to try and seize the records?
Surely you don’t think those are equivalent?

Then you can’t comprehend. I explained it, more than once.
