You’ve just explained exactly why Trump would have incentive claim to be a foreigner. Because there’s tons of rich kids with good grades waiting to get into Ivy League.

He might have needed another leg up so to fulfill their diversity he could claim to be a foreigner.

Obama wouldn’t need to claim to be a foreigner because as a black kid he could already fulfill the goal of diversity. And as we all know, Obama had good grades and wouldn’t have needed to worry about that. There’s definitely not a lot of middle class black kids as academically accomplished as Obama out there. He had no reason to claim a foreign status.

He was able to pay the full tuition, as opposed to getting breaks based on some affiliation with some group.

That doesn’t mean he bumped someone else who was more deserving. It means he didn’t need any extra help.

Which isn’t in transcripts. I just checked mine, no mention of admissions data. It has grades and diploma received.

What it tells you is that it is VERY DUMB to tell me that Obama is smarter than anyone I know, as that is WHOLLY unprovable by the person who said that to me.

That was the very definition of hyperbole and yes, I know many people smarter than Obama could ever hope to be.

Are they eligible to run for POTUS by the U S Constitution?

I’m surprised he hasn’t, frankly. I mean, anyone who would create a faux Time magazine cover of himself and pass it off as real isn’t above a little transcript fakery.

Instead, he just spouts off about being a “stable genius” and having a an IQ that is “one of the highest”.

And AGAIN Trump would have no hope of proving that, if asked to. And he would be asked to, given that he looked and acted like exactly what he was - a white, rich American kid with a wealthy and well-known family.

Obama, on the other hand, had complete anonymity on his side, as well as his actual foreigner father and actual overseas life.

He’s almost hand-picked to pull off such a scam without any scrutiny.

And we DO NOT know if Obama had good grades going into Occidental and Columbia, the schools in question. None of the records from those schools have been released and he had no particular academic standing or acheivement at them.

He graduated with a BA. That’s pretty much all we know and are being allowed to know. He refuses to release those transcripts.

It’s not full tuition in lieu of better grades - not in the Ivy league. They can get all the money they want from everyone who attends. They don’t need to “bump” anyone to get more cash from someone else.

You have it exaclty backwards. They are rolling in dough and do not need to admit anyone for their money.

Harvard in particular was going through a rough time at that time because of a perceived lack of sympathy for blacks on campus and lack of blacks in the staff.

One of the reasons that Obama was made president of the law review at Harvard - the first black so honored - may well have been to show that they were not discriminating, in fact.

He was not known as a great president of the law review, so that is possible. Unlike presidents in the past, he was NOT elected on the basis of grades.

And unlike past presidents, he did not go on to clerk for any Supreme Court justices.
