GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy utterly unloaded on the never-ending Russia investigation over the weekend, saying he has seen “no evidence” the Trump administration “colluded” with Russia to steal the 2016 presidential election.
It’s now time for Trump to demand Rosenstein release unredacted documents to the House Judiciary Committee. Sessions needs to step up or be fired. This slow walking and redacting in the name of “National Security” has gotten old.
‘Collusion’ has been used to some success by Trump and his folks to recharacterize the investigation. Having read Rosentstein’s letter of Mueller, I see a pretty broad charge and no mention of collusion. Am I misreading it?
Why would Trump, et al recharacterize the probe to just about collusion? Probably because it’s one thing Trump probably innocent of, and can make him appear like a victim which arouses his base quite easily, playing to their pronounced sense of alienation.
It is obvious that Mueller’s probe is more about finding anything to get Trump impeached. This is the very “Insurance Policy” cooked up by the DOJ and FBI that Strzok talked about in his email. Dems and the left-wing media don’t like the decision of the American people so they are trying to reverse that decision. They are working behind the scenes to get full-power over our government. There is a good reason for a two-party system, but this one is broken by partisanship and corruption. Don’t forget, the Dems conspired and caused violence at Trump rallies, then blamed them on his rhetoric, they colluded with Steele to develop the Steele dossier, then they slipped it to people who were forced to report it to the FBI to legitimize it. The DNC fed HIllary debate questions so that Berney wouldn’t win the primary. Others include the Tarmac meeting, decision not to prosecute Hillary, etc. Recently we’ve seen that the FBI conspired with the DOJ to tank Trump in the election and then if that didn’t work, to concoct impeachable offenses. This is much worse than Watergate and the worst part is that of all the corruption that occurred during the Obama admin. (IRS, NSA, EPA, DOJ,etc) no indictments or arrests were made. Instead, those caught were compensated with full retirement benefits. Do you see a trend here?
Also, I don’t want to hear that HIllary won the popular vote. If we went by popular vote, our entire country would be governed by NY State and California. That is the very reason why we have an Electoral College…to give every state a say in the election.

Turia, you post reflects the pronounced sense of alienation to which I speak. Now I don’t believe alienation is necessarily a bad thing–and I do believe healthy skepticism is a good thing. But you, my friend, are convinced of the ill-intentions of so many of our institutions that it reaches near Hollywood proportions. I run a small business, and I can’t get the 11 people I pay to stand in lock-step unity…on anything. To believe the DOJ, FBI, Dems, the Press, et al wake up every morning, meet over coffee and unanimously collude to take away our power? Way, way too much for. Apologies.

What I don’t think Democrats get is that if you DO get to enact your INSURANCE POLICY, Hillary isn’t going to be President. You don’t get it. She lost. You’re just going wind up getting President Pence, and I assure you, you won’t like President Pence.
Trump didn’t “recharacterize” the investigation. It wasn’t supposed to have been about anything BUT collusion! Mueller is the one who changed course. Typical Dem. cover-up. Now Pelosi is out there raising funds for Dems which is supposedly part of a “petition” she is going to use to “STOP PUTIN from ever setting foot in the US”. Sorry, Danna. I don’t subscribe to the one side is right the other is wrong ethos. Money, power, politics, the press, the Constitution, the American people? Far too complex for such a simple view of life. But it does give purpose to one’s life. Much more than, ‘hey, we’re all kinda struggling here’. Not a good message to arouse the will of the people.

Probably the same, Wayne. Although left-leaning, I strive (very hard) to be non-partisan. I believe uber-partisanship is the greatest threat to the country. That is precisely why the Russians try to drive a deep wedge between us with their ad campaigns. They understand that when we fight and really demonize each other, we are a much weaker country.

People best pay very close attention to what is happening around them. There are many things taking place in the spiritual world that people are missing as well. Time will not last forever, it will not wait until others see it. I pray that EVERYONE who loves this country wakes up and sees what is truly happening, for EVERYONE’S sake!! Pray for our country and those running it! Pray for the safety of our nation. We have many enemies, even in our very own government, who wish to run our country directly toward those that intend to do us harm. (Hint: It is NOT President Trump).
