Government insanity. We are surrounded by nit wits

Your link says they must have an associate’s degree (that’s a 2 years degree), finished 2 years of college credits, or pass an assessment.

That sounds like a decent minimum. You said your wife already passed the practice assessment.

No where do you need a four year college degree. My first post in this thread stands.

Did you even read your own link?

Yeah, and in the meantime 800,000 workers are without a paycheck because the bozo in chief insists on 5 billion for a worthless wall. Guess things arent so black and white when it hits you or someone you care about.

Ahh capitalism, ain’t it grand.

Why is the government paying people to color with kids?

You are mistaken. I never said a thing about a four year degree. You made that part up. The 65 year old lady who needs the job and has been doing it well for 15 years is fired for no reason. Period.

Because some kids don’t really have the mental capacity to do much else. Some are totally non verbal. God bless em.

More like 1,300,000 (1.3 million). 800,000 direct employees furloughed or working with no pay plus about 500,000 contractors not working (who will not get back-pay).

Taxpayer funded workers are just moochers - sucking off the taxpayer’s teet.

Under that logic, everyone working is a moocher because they’re being paid to do a job by someone else.

Worker gets paid by taxpayer = Moocher
Worker get paid by employer = Moocher
Employer gets paid by customer = Moocher

Providing public goods does not make one a ‘Moocher’

You ran around crying about needing a college graduate to do this $11 hour job and that’s just not true. Per your own link.

An associate’s degree holder is a college graduate.

Sounds like those kids would benefit most from skilled educators and specialists.

So, to be clear.

A 2 year associate degree meets the standard.

As do 2 years of college credits.

As does passing a test.

So, no 4 year college degree required. Per the OPs own link.

The OP has stated that his wife has already passed the practice test.

This seems like a good basic requirement. We expect preschool workers to have a basic education to color with little kids too.

Yes, I know, but even that is not necessary.

I was being sarcastic.

Ah, Okay.

Your worst case scenario is a 65-y.o. woman whose job is in jeopardy if, given 6 months to prepare, she can’t pass a 90 question, most likely multiple-choice test ON HOW TO DO THE JOB SHE’S BEEN DOING FOR DECADES.

I would wager that, given our litigious society, many if not most of the questions deal with how to respond in situations that may expose the school system to liability. She SHOULD be required to answer them.

Unlike Coasties and TSA agents, she CAN get paid for doing her job.

I respectfully ask that you stay on topic please. There has aleady been about 10,000 anti Trump threads in this forum. You are not getting short changed. Thanks in advance.

My wife is very bright. Smarter than most. So where exactly do you suppose they will find people with college degrees willing to work for 11 Bucks an hour? Nobody goes to college to get paid peanuts.

You’ve already demonstrated all you really have to do is pass a test. I’m sure there’s plenty of people capable of doing so.
