Cool, a snapshot in time…means nothing.
Indeed, destroyed your excuses before you laid them out.
Greenspan admits he was wrong as banks acted recklessly with disregard to the economy and their shareholders. Is Greenspan a Lib?
Deflection attempt.

Deflection attempt.
Those who ignore history, are doomed to repeat it.
How would you know?

we already have oversight.
It’s blind.
Move.
There we go.

Those who ignore history, are doomed to repeat it.
Or not redistribute somebody else’s wealth.

Sherman act
Was that Reagan?
Look at congress.

How much wealth is enough?
When the earner decides. Not you.

Asian nuclear power and asian semiconductors are run with mostly government money, and those industries have been much more successful than their American counterparts over the last decade.
In the past 10 years, more than 34 gigawatts (GW) of nuclear power capacity were added in China, bringing the country’s number of operating nuclear reactors to 55 with a total net capacity of 53.2 GW as of April 2024. An additional 23 reactors are under construction in China. The United States has the largest nuclear fleet, with 94 reactors, but it took nearly 40 years to add the same nuclear power capacity as China added in 10 years.

It’s important to remember that if we don’t do it, other countries will. And there are consequences to that.
Yeah, if the lefties and their environmental crusade would loosen up, we could build nuclear. Blame your side, the left- solely - for no nuclear.

but w e still do not have a great way to store the waste.

solar with batteries
Mmmmmmm
It’s not competitive to build facilities that cost 10 billion dollars per GW, with inexperienced contractors.
Propose a reactor on the reddest, most yeehaw site you can imagine and that $10b/GW number does not change. Bill Gates’ natrium plant in Wyoming has the same ratio of cost to power.
You will never break that barrier because the safety record that nuclear power prides itself on is not free.
Chinese government doesn’t care about competitive. They just want the capability, eat the cost of it, and actually get good at building them.
Also, notice all the vaporware SMR companies adjusting their estimates above the 10b/GW line as they get more accountable to their investors. Nuclear power costs what it costs. It’s about time you guys deal with it, and recognize that American nuclear can only thrive as a central government gigaproject.
There is no magical technology or regulation cut that will make good quality work cheap.
Maybe if the Biden-Harris administration was still around, we could have gotten that gigaproject. They’re the ones who paid to reopen Palisades. We’ll never know now.
