Republicans are still really big into drug testing people on government assistance. There’s not much room in the ideology for people who are tolerant of marijuana.

Are you denying that weed has been a part of the hip hop, hippy culture for as long as both have been in existence?

Smoked plenty of weed with laborers, farmers and bankers. Those outlaw cultures just didn’t hide their use as much. For obvious reasons, their jobs weren’t at stake.

Weed has been a part of just about every culture for the last 5,000 years. My Yamnaya ancestors were dealing pot way back in the Late Copper Age.
