I was not OK with them being shipped all over nor was I OK with them being held indefinitely. I was not totally sold on the military base issue because not much information was available as to what accommodations were actually available on the bases or if they were equipped to handle the influx on short notice and would it be any better than what they already had available. I want the rules followed. If those rules include deportation then do so, and if they require vetting and it takes quite some time, and you have to stay in the detention center until completed, so be it. I do not agree that the children should be separated during that time.

I had to follow the rules, I had to pay the money, I had to wait the time to process my child. Why do you feUS citizens shouldn’t have to follow rules like I do?

Seriously, I just explained my viewpoint. The persons you should be addressing are those who’s viewpoints have suddenly changed due it being Trump making the recommendations. My concerns enumerated above have not changed.

There has to be a better way, however I don’t believe making me follow the rules and giving the others an out is not the way to do it. I have never been, nor will ever be, a fan of picking and choosing which laws you get to follow or uphold while ignoring others for personal or political expediency.

This immigration issue has effectively been kicked down the road for years and it needs to be decisively dealt with.

Hypocrites are on both sides. This issue it’s the libs and those who issued not a peep about this before but now are claiming it’s torture to be sent to a military base.

I’m not sure what accommodations are there or if it’s any worse or better than being in the detention center, but if you are going to call it either a good idea or a bad one you don’t get to base that solely on who made the decision to do so without being hypocritical.

Kids were separated under Obama sparingly-it wasn’t standard policy. It was when the best interest of the child was considered. Dangerous/criminal parents-situations like that.

Who cares? Once you get away from the conservative minority (freedom caucus) aren’t the republicans and democrats pretty much the same? They agree on open borders, they agree on Obamacare, they agree on deficit spending, they agree on a lot. You focus too much on the letter behind the name when the ideology is the same about 75 percent of the time.

The only reason that you would be in favor of this is because it would split the vote get more democrats elected. That would be the very worst case scenario for conservatives. And it would definitely happen. And a conservative party is not needed. Any politician is free to vote conservative if he chooses. Having an “R” behind his name does not force him to be an establishment republican. He can vote conservative if he chooses. We should simply vote for the most conservative candidate on the ballet.
