So the the OP’s linked article referenced the 2018 BP Statistical Report, which covered 2017. The 2019 BP statistical covers 2018 and the US increased its carbon emissions by 2.6%, 62% more than China’s increase. Looks like leaving the Paris Accords has come back to bite us.

Yep…on all the asses in our country.

gooddad409:
Oh i am just talking about one plant. There are probably many tens of thousands of such motors across the country. At manufacturing sites.
Manufacturing is what would truly be affected by the ineffectual accord.
Didn’t see much of that on your list. Why should our manufacturing industries pursue Draconian measures from the accord while China and India pollute at will and thus nullify anything we are doing?
The Accord is simply a redistribution of wealth scheme.
Period. The end.
Manufacturing uses 3.7% of electricity generated in the country.
Server farms us 2%

I agree. Of the ten most polluted rivers, eight are in Asia and two are in Africa. The pacific ocean island of plastic is almost exclusively owned by the Chinese.

ImRightYoureWrong:
So, adding up BP, Walmart, Dupont, Microsoft, Netflix, Amazon…a lot of goft shops is all they are
None of these companies are redistributing tax dollars in the name of climate justice. So who cares?

You didn’t answer the first question.
China contributes about 30 percent of the plastics found in the oceans. Vietnam, The Philippines and others in the area are also major contributors, as is the United States to a lesser but still very significant extent.

True.
Just 10 river systems are responsible for 90 percent of the plastic flowing into the oceans. Eight are in Asia and two are in Africa. Ranked from the highest amount of plastic waste to the lowest, they are: the Yangtze River, Indus River, Yellow River, Hai He River, Nile River, Ganges River, Pearl River, Amur River, Niger River, and the Mekong River.
The rivers of Asia are the world’s largest open sewers. The world is focusing on the environmental crimes of the United States. They need to look elsewhere.
