The problem is that we will have people of bad moral character (N.Y. politicians) trying to decide who has good moral character.

Yep. And that is precisely why Roe v. Wade was allowed to stand for so many years. The right case can make a profound difference to the extent of their ruling

so we can expect an overturn around 2070 or so……lol

No Allan, the lower court decision does. Refusal of the SCOTUS to hear the appeal could be for all sorts of reasons. It could be as simple as they don’t have space on the docket.

they always have room for cases that interest them.
