Gay people are not a monolith. Some are focused, others are not, just like everyone else.

I disagree. They can’t help themselves. Everything is about their homosexuality. I find them selfish and self-centered.

I’ve met some gay people who weren’t self centered.

You are correct that for many of them (especially the younger ones) their sexuality defines who they are and their life experience is framed from the aspect of being gay.

But there’s a bit of that with a bunch of people. Their entire worldview and ideology is based entirely on what they have experienced and relate it only to their own feelings.

But there are some gay people I’ve met who weren’t like that. One guy in particular that I know. Most people would never know he’s gay unless he tells them. He’s a four wheeler and lawnmower mechanic. Settled down in a long term relationship with a very effeminate man. But unless you saw them holding hands or he told you he was gay, you’d never know. He’s just a redneck for the most part. He doesn’t wear it on his sleeves. And he’s a damn good mechanic.
