As a catholic I am not offended. But then again I am pretty secure in my own faith. I dont go around looking to be outraged.
However she apologized so not sure what the big deal is.

Liberalism, particularly its modern form gets it ideology via liberal academia and Hollywood, both of which have no love loss for Christianity. Furthermore, many on the Left, particularly its staunch supporters (like those on political forums) are largely atheists. My conclusions are based on 30 years of observations following politics.

Since I donât know your history of observation it is difficult for me to be specific. However I do not agree with your assignment when it comes to academia and Hollywood. I do have a history with dealing with Hollywood and I have found it to be much more conservative than a lot of the folks on the right think. Consider that the vocal actors and writers are a fairly small percentage of folks in Hollywood. In fact the majority of folks there are Doctors and Lawyers who maintain a conservative majority.
And I can only comment on the percentage of Liberals and Conservatives that are Christians based on survey data. And to that end the surveys say that about 52% of Liberals are Christians. And only about 1% that identify with the Muslim religion.
And in all of my years I have yet to meet a Liberal who confessed that they were an Atheist.
I do realize that those folks who participate in political forums are a small percentage of the voting public. There are not a lot of political junkies like us and I am not surprised that concerns about political issues varies a lot from one section of the county to another.
