The political fallout from the Inspector General’s scathing report continued to rock Washington Thursday, with a reporter from Politico confirming that former bureau boss James Comey used a private gmail account to conduct FBI business.
I guess now we know why Comey got up there and said Hillary will not be prosecuted, but that if we get caught doing the same thing the government will be coming for us? Comey was guilty of the same conduct himself and didn’t want to get hit too hard.
Pertaining to unclassified information, sent from his unclassified fbi account to his gmail account, always touching a government account for record-keeping purposes, and “when I needed to word process an unclassified [document] that was going to be disseminated broadly, [such as a] public speech or public email to the whole organization.” It’s a nothingburger, but you go with your right-wing conspiracy ■■■■■■■■■
