Former Starbucks CEO and potential 2020 presidential candidate Howard Schultz slammed the Democratic Party Tuesday; saying the US simply “can’t afford” to implement “Medicare for All” and “free college” across the country.

Schultz was speaking with the hosts of The View when he said it would be “disingenuous” for him to run as a Democrat because he would need to embrace massive federal entitlement programs.

"In order to run as a Democrat today, you have to fall in line with free Medicare for everybody—free—free college for everybody, a free job for everybody,"@HowardSchultz tells us why he would run as an Independent in 2020. “I would have to be disingenuous if I ran as a Democrat because in order to run as a Democrat today you have to fall in-line with free Medicare for everybody, free college for everybody, and a free job for everybody,” said Schultz.

“That totals about $40 trillion… We can’t afford to do it ‘free,'” he added.
