This is hyperbole. When a problem is immediate and clearly defined, both parties can rouse themselves to tackle it. The problem is that we’re not proactive, we’re reactive.

America has done more than any country in the effort to reduce the amount of pollutants into the atmosphere, earth and water. Can more be done? Of course, but the last time I checked the earth rotates on an axis. The concept might not be taught in schools anymore but until other “developing” countries reduce the amount of ■■■■ they’re blasting up into the stratosphere or dumping into the oceans? And how much of the American taxpayers money are these “developing” countries taking to do not a ■■■■■■■■■ thing?

How much do we give away in foreign aid and how much do we pay for illegals?

Seems like something that would pay for itself if we cut some of that kind of fat out of the budget.
