We don’t need wings to survive global warming … you can leisurely stroll to higher ground as sea level rises.

Using intelligence to employ technologies to be able to live in a place where you could not without the technology is NOT evolution, it is adaptation. We are damn good at it.

No we’re not.

We most certainly are. We live in more different extreme local environments than any other species on Earth. What other species, for example, lives in the high Arctic and the deserts of African or Australia, the Pacific island atolls, the Amazon jungle and the Himalayan mountains? We are everywhere because our species is extremely adaptable to almost every environment that the planet has to offer.

Adaptation in the context of biology does not mean technology.

I’m a bit confused what you mean. Like Samm said humans live on nearly every environment on earth. We use technology to make up for biological shortcomings.

Buy a Red Bull, Samm.

Bacteria and single-cellec organisms are far more adaptable than we are. They live in every environmental niche on earth…in the hot sulfur springs…in radioactive pools…in cold dry and hot dry climates.

Tardigrades are more adaptable than we are…they’ve been found everywhere.

All without the benefit of technology.

Technology makes humans LESS ADAPTABLE, not more.

Agreed. Biologically we aren’t all that impressive.

But I disagree on the idea that technology makes us less adaptable. The various species of ■■■■ have made us of tools, aka technology, to make up for our many biological shortcomings for millennia. Without tools man could have never hunted the large game they needed to survive and clothe theirselves against the elements with. And that’s just one example.

Crops burning up in the fields in Europe. Less supply against current demand is driving up prices significantly.

Greenhouses with green plants have less CO2 concentrations than outside.

The more we become reliant on it- the less adaptable we will become.

Imagine what happens if our electrical grid is zapped by a coronal mass ejection.

Our species as a whole is very brittle…civilization can be broken down and wiped out very easily.

They also have the glass roof’s greenhouse effect dominating.

Yeah they do… don’t they… just like the earth. Oh wait…

This is ridiculous even for you.

You avoided the question. Is CO2 a greenhouse gas?

I don’t use that stupid terminology. The earth is not physically closed like a greenhouse at the bottom of the troposphere. Molecules dissociate in the upper atmosphere. Oceans absorb and release CO2. Greenhouse glass has entirely different transmission, absorption, and reflection characteristics than atmospheric gasses. And most bizarre is that in spite of the fact that CO2 is less concentrated in a greenhouse compared with open air, AGW wackos call it a greenhouse gas.

There is a big following of idiots who have gone along with that ridiculous concept… some educated, some not. You should check out the Milgram experiment. Fools will go along with anything, regardless of their education, if there is some authority figure telling them to.

Sure it does. Our biology gives us the intellect to create and use technology to improve our survival rate. Intelligence IS biological.
