The people who have cheered as toddlers were taken from their parents and put into cages over misdemeanor offences are now worried about punishments being too serious.
Just an antidote, but I was just walking with a friend who is calling voters in the district neighboring mine. The person she was calling (the son) wasn’t home but the mother couldn’t wait to tell my friend she has never in her life not voted Republican but not this time - she’s voting straight D. The word she used according to my friend to explain why she won’t vote R was “ashamed.”

Trump et al are so transparently frightened. I hope they are all stocked up on Pepto.

Punishments? Impeachment isn’t a punishment, it is a way of overturning the will of the electorate. Punishment is like criminal charges after his term. For all I care, throw him in jail after his term.

Being removed from one’s job is most certainly a punishment.

Are you trying to sound as dumb as possible now?
Is that your goal now?

Sure Trump wouldn’t like it. That’s not the purpose of impeachment. The purpose is to remove an administration and replace it with another.
Just like illegals don’t like being deported…but the purpose of deportation isn’t punishment.

I’m assuming that you don’t think that there shouldn’t be any way to remove a President from office before his term has expired. Am I mistaken?
In the absence of a strong legal position, employ panic and fear.
If anyone revolts, it’ll be a problem that’ll take care of itself. I hope people don’t revolt.

How would bringing charges against Trump overturn the will of the electorate? You know that’s what impeachment is, right? The filing of charges?
Bill Clinton was impeached. The “will of the electorate” was not overturned.

If a group of people who had the power to do so decided to vote me out of my job, I’d be punished.
In the same way, if a hiring committee offered me a job, I’d be rewarded.
Will you be in the vanguard?

Maybe he’ll be in the Space Force, protecting Trump from the alien threats.

We’re starting to see cracks in the Trumpistan narrative, at least here. I usually listen to our host on the drive home from work but haven’t had the opportunity this last week; I’m curious to know how his rhetoric has changed (if at all).

Not sure why this is a surprise a few on here admitted to supporting Trump just to burn down the country on the hope others would suffer.
