I’m hoping if we can ramp up vaxes a little more, maybe we can get ahead of this next surge…

Thankfully I’ve already got my first Pfizer shot, and am scheduled for my 2nd one on 4/19. I’ll be releived once I’m fully vaccinated.

That’s not what the article says at all.

And the study was not based on the presence of antibodies.

Mid to late April, with the lagging indicators. Wager money in it.

Unfortunately that’s not going to save me from having to lay off ninety eight percent of my staff for the second time in four months.

Ouch. Sorry to hear about that

Well they’ll be getting the extra three hundo on unemployment when it happens, so that’s not nothing.

Thank you TNT. Was going to post the same thing, but you got it first. We have about 6 or 7 months of phase 3 trial data…and 4 months of non trial data…general population vaccines.

I fully believe that Memory B cells and Helper T cells will come back to working order once a healthy body is infected and fight it off. We have almost a year of data out here now from health care workers in both US and UK that show they have an almost steady level of antibodies due to constant exposure. This means that exposure calls the immune system to work. It’s not logical to think that the immune system will fail to work like it always does, on this one virus.

false. trials started last spring. i misrepresent nothing.

and no its not.

lol, seriously? there is no arrogance in my statement, it condescends to no-one. It assumes no-one knows any less than I.

Fact is, I was right and remain right while our experts have been not so right.

kind of my point. memory t and b cells will protect us from everything except the governments response. fear mongering has worked to well for them, they’ll do it again.

the study may not be, but immunity is. no antibodies mean you can get it again, as some already have. doesn’t mean it dangerous, because if you beat it once its likely not. I could care less how they determine people aren’t getting it, why is what matters. And why is antibodies.

let me know when you figure out why people don’t get it.

You are misrepresenting this study.

This study does not conclude antibodies only last 6 months. This study did not measure antibodies.

This study concluded the vaccines are effective for AT LEAST 6mos. It draws no conclusion on the presence of antibodies or the triggering of T cell memory.

The study said the vaccines are good for AT LEAST 6mos. Not ONLY.

then go ahead and quote it, or stop lying about what i said.

I made no claim the study did either.

and i said nothing about “only”. i said there is no reason to believe the antibodies produced will last any longer than naturally produced antibodies. given that the vaccines do make the body produce more of them, it should last a bit longer than natural contraction would, but not much longer. currently, with natural progression it averages about 4 months, but can be up to 9. I believe the more antibodies you produce, the longer it takes enough of them to die off for you to become susceptible again. I expect it will rake longer than it otherwise would, perhaps averaging 6 month, maybe a bit longer. the point is they will be wearing off. when they do, the virus will again surge. will the powers that be tell us all to relax? the science says memory cells will kick in and there’s little to be concerned about. the politics say fear=power.

in your OP you said:

latest research seems to say my concern about the short lived anti bodies was right again.

The study you quoted does not claim antibodies are short lived. The study also

You said:

With the vast majority of Americans vaccinated by July at the latest, anti bodies will be wearing off for most before the holidays.

The study you cited does not calim antibodies will wear off before the holidays.

It says the vaccines are effective for AT LEAST 6 mos. not ONLY 6 mos.

The study you cited does not back up your claims.

The study you sited indicates the vaccines are effective for AT LEAST 6 mos. Not ONLY.

the study did not measure antibodies, so it makes no claim as to how long they will be present. It does not back up your claims.

I spend a lot of time teaching or passing on good solid evidence and data from trusted sites. The Government has a message and even though Trump is gone, I don’t trust the government message. Just like the new CDC head talking all hyperbolic about we are looking at doom coming up. We are going to see another spike sure…but talking all doomsday about it. Seriously right now please and thank you? It is now April, and all the government experts predicted a spike around Mid March, cases are up…but I don’t see it becoming anything like the fall
