I am not sure how we got here… but I was only describing an example of the problems with proving that you were not hired hired due to the color of your skin. Let me break it down for you…
-
This specific case in the OP was blatant and provable. This guy who was discriminated against has a case and should use the full extent of the law.
-
Although this specific guy has a case, it is not common. The reason it is not common it is very hard to prove without knowing directly from the employer that they did not choose you due to race.

- It was an example, not a personal anecdote. Nor is it how I treat being rejected by a potential employer. Again, I am saying, that a private or public entity COULD tell me I am denied because I am not qualified, but in reality it was because I am black. However I would like never know unless someone exposed something stupid (like in the case of the OP).
In summary, theses cases are very hard to prove. This guy got lucky. I am rooting for him to sue the pants off of the county.
