Maine does it correctly with instant runoff voting.
But it is retarded to hold a runoff election two days AFTER the beginning of the term of office.

That is likely the origin of runoff elections. In the South, the Democrat primary was virtually the same thing as the general election for decades.
Itâs always interesting to see the third party candidates damage in a race and how it affects the other party. I remember when Hillary lost in 16 everybody talked about Jill Stein but they failed to mention much about Gary Johnson.
Purdue would have 100% crossed the 50% mark if it wasnât for the libertarian candidate I donât think the libertarian will be in the runoffs so there is that. I surely donât see them winning both races and Republicans will be out in force to stop Biden so finally they will have a reason to be energized.

Did you say that itâs likely Loeffler and Perdue will be allowed to take their seats on Jan 3?

Loeffler is already serving on a gubernatorial appointment and will continue to serve until a final result is certified. Perdue will likely be granted a gubernatorial appointment to cover the period from January 3rd until the election is certified.

Also one would assume the intensity is going switch in favor of the Republicans. The anti-Trump intensity will have subsided and the RNC is going to throw everything including the kitchen sink into those races.

Maybe.
You think Trump is going to give up his time in the limelight?
Heâll still have 15 to go when the election is held.
Heâll likely still be accusing everyone of widescale fraud while the campaigns ramp up.

Once the hopes and prayers over courts and votes settle down, this will get more noticed:
Jo Jorgensen exceeds Bidenâs margin in Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona and Georgia.
I know a few trump voters in my orbit who protested with Jo. I told one I was surprised he voted for a woman and he said âI did?â.
Oh man!
Georgia has to be hitting some sort of election fatigue by now.

Both sides are gong to do that. Considering whatâs at risk I donât see either side letting up from the November race.
Unless there are Republicans who, like our OP, think that bad mouthing the Georgia SOS is more important than blocking the Supreme Court from being packed.
Two of the biggest crooks in Washington. But if theyâre voted out, however will they get their insider stock information?

Badmouthing the SOS is only part of the problem.
The bigger problem is them trying to feed into the disinformation campaign seeking to place the integrity of our voting system in doubt.
That is a fundamental problem in a form of government like ours.
Their opinion (they have no authority over it) that the Secretary of State of Georgia (another Republican) step down takes precedence over blocking the Democrats from Packing the Supreme Court?
Sure.
McConnell packing the courts - good!
Dems getting anyone confirmed - bad!

Yeah, thatâs the other thing Iâm looking at. As much as I like conservative judges, after the games Mitch played Iâm not going to worry about whatever blowback may come from it. He should have known better.
Theyâre allowed to speak out and I couldnât care less. Trump was voted out and the Democrats couldnât even wait a day to brag about shoving a progressive agenda down our throats - a firewall is needed. Next time, keep the Democratic Socialists in check and perhaps we wouldnât be in such a craptastic situation.

Did it bother you in 2016 when the mass media was doing the same because Trump won?

McConnel never packed any courts. He and other Republicans voted to confirm Constitutionally appointed nominees.
Biden refuses to say that he wonât pack the courts.
But at least you understand what this is really about. not whether someone exercises their first amendment right to question how an election was run.
How you win is just as important as the win. GOP has lost my vote and money forever with their games.

Wow. Just wow.
