Actually I do work at a place that requires a mask. However, my current location makes it impossible to wear a mask. So it hangs off one ear 90% of the time I’m there.

They have been posted in numerous threads. I watched your infowars video. They mention a recent Hong Kong study. The only recent HK mask studies I found concluded they work.

I am a engineer and in my profession have worked with a whole bunch of scientists, most dealing with chemistry and physics. And therefore I trust science. And I have never had a reason to believe that scientists lie. Unfortunately it has become obvious to me that Trump does not believe any science that does not fit his narrative. And in the case of the virus this has a impact on the health of our citizens.

Your opinion is not science. Here is a report citing actual scientific studies into the efficacy of masks. Medical M95 masks have no statistical benefit as protection from viruses. Cloth masks actually increase your chance of infection, and also reduce Oxygen in the blood by up to 20%, and increase CO2 in the blood, leading to headaches and blackouts. These are actually studies. Here are your studies to back up your beliefs.

Regarding the Infowars video claiming studies that masks don’t work.

At 2:05 I froze the video to view sources.

One, a paper by Cowling says in the abstract: “There is some evidence to support the wearing of masks or respirators during illness to protect others, and public health emphasis on mask wearing during illness may help to reduce influenza virus transmission.”

So many of the others were comparing N95 masks to surgical masks or respirators. But that is not what Infowars is claiming.

Overall, this exercise reminded me why Infowars is not a site to be trusted and I would even question the efficacy of their tactical wipes.

And to top it all off, Infowars hosts a video decrying the effectiveness of face masks yet hawks an Infowars mask on their site saying “Shield yourself and stay safe from incoming germs with the Infowars face mask!

So your feelings of what should be true are not supported by scientific studies. And the persuasion that masks are ineffective or debilitating has scientific research behind it. So who is believing the science?
