There are laws on the books that allow government to commandeer land. They were used to acquire land for building the wall and the pipeline, I believe. People who have been publicly activists for the kinds of policies that have cause the homeless crisis should be required to do their bit to fix the problem.

Conservatism believes in consequences for one’s actions. If you are publicly pushing for policies that create homelessness and for solutions that require others to pay, not you, it would be good for you and society for you to have to reap what you sowed.

Conservatives giving socialists socialism is OK. It’s what they claim they think should be foisted on all. What possible objection could they have?

Maybe they will learn to reject socialism if they themsekves have to live and suffer under it.

No. But they need to do their fair share. How many refugees are being sent to the Hamptons or Malibu? Answer, none. They want everybody else to sacrifice. While they do nothing. Lead by example. Not by complaining.
