Just hours after President Trump unloaded on ESPN for refusing to air the US national anthem during a recent NFL game, other networks confirmed their plan to deploy a similar strategy to appease furious fans.

According to USA Today, both CBS and NBC are planning to totally cut or reduce air-time for the performance of the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ during upcoming match-ups; saying they “do not plan to televise” the pre-game ceremony.

“On occasion, we’ve covered the national anthem, but our plans aren’t finalized yet as we have an earlier kickoff time in 2018,” said a spokesperson for NBC Sports.

The President unloaded on ESPN during Wednesday night’s fiery rally in West Virginia, saying “we don’t like” the new policy.

“You’re proud of our country, you’re proud of our history, and unlike the NFL, you always honor and cherish our great American flag,” Trump said. “It was just announced by ESPN that rather than defending our anthem, our beautiful, beautiful national anthem and defending our flag, they’ve decided that they just won’t broadcast when they play the national anthem. We don’t like that.”

Good the way the anthem is sung at most of these games is an embarrassment anyway.

Awe, that will put a damper on the NFL players virtue signally.
