GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz unloaded on the Democrats’ non-stop impeachment obsession this week; telling lawmakers the entire process is “Making the American people hate us.”

“After years of pointless and endless investigations against the president, this witch hunt is no longer simply troublesome. It has become deeply & excruciatingly tiresome. It’s time to move on. The American people hate this and it’s making some of them hate us,” said Gaetz.

Two national polls are now showing a majority of Americans oppose the removal of President Trump through impeachment; a serious blow to Democrats currently drafting Articles against the Commander-in-Chief.

“According to the Monmouth poll – which was released Wednesday – 50 percent said the president should not be impeached and removed from office, with 45 percent calling for impeachment and removal from the White House. The numbers are little changed from Monmouth’s November poll, when a 51-44 percent majority opposed impeachment and removal,” reports Fox News.

“It’s a similar story in the Quinnipiac survey, which was released on Tuesday. By a 51-45 percent margin, Americans opposed impeaching and removing the president, little changed from the school’s late November poll,” adds Fox.
