We’ve lost all perspective. Yes, she misspoke. And politicians who are expected to manage perceptions should know better. And it’s right to point that out.

But the bigger issue of her misspeaking is how it’s used to condemn her as a person.

I’m not afraid to say, ‘but Trump’ because it’s germane to the topic of politicians speaking.

Trump called her a ‘monster’. A monster? POTUS called a VP candidate a monster. And he was not misspeaking; he said exactly what he felt. Or what he knew would play to his base.
