I have a dachshund and a black lab as well. All dogs are good dogs.

This is the perfect dog for my lifestyle. German Pinscher. Basically a half sized Dobermann. I like medium dogs, between 35 and 60 pounds, the best.
Issue is that every breeder in the US wants a part of your soul to have the honor of buying one.
So for now I’ll just stick with pit bulls. I’ve got a four year old blue female right now. My mom keeps her for me during the day when I’m working and I keep her at night and on weekends.
She was a rescue; previous owners had badly neglected her and abused her. We got her back healthy and now she’s loved in both of the houses she lives in. Had to socialize her a lot. Dog definitely had severe PTSD. But we’ve done this for years now so we’ve got alot of experience with rehabilitating pit bulls. She’s the 9th one.
It’s a shame how people treat them. They’re really great house dogs. Easy to maintain coat, friendly personality, surprisingly intelligent and easy to train. People just assume they are aggressive killing machines bred solely for fighting. But if you raise them correctly they can be wonderful house or yard dogs and are great guard dogs. It’s disgusting how many are abused by their owners or forced onto scratch lines and fought.
