The president has lied so much about so many things. A good reporter is entitled to start off any series of questions by asking if Trump will actually tell the truth this time—especially in light of the fact that he lied numerous times during his speech.

When a president continually disembles on a topic, as Trump has on the border, it’s a reasonable legitimate question to ask. If the history weren’t there, Conway would have been shocked at the question, instead of reactionary and defensive as she was.
