Our host has now stated the following (paraphrased) on a number of occasions:

There are many, many rank and file FBI agents that are desperate to come forward and give testimony regarding the whitewash that happened during the Clinton investigation. They can’t speak out now, they have to be subpoenaed and they’ll be testifying before congress soon.

Just today repeated the above claim to two congress critters (Gaetz and DeSantos) and then asked “Isn’t that the case?”

In both cases the congress critters said “I don’t know, but wow I hope so.” in an unknowing tone of voice.

So my guess is this is just another line of gaslighting the audience and trying to keep the hopes of Trumpsters up in the face of reality.

The main meat: Comey was correct to not prosecute Hillary Clinton.

"As described in Chapter Seven of our report, the
prosecutors concluded that the evidence did not support
prosecution under any of these statutes for various
reasons, including that former Secretary Clinton and her
senior aides lacked the intent to communicate classified
information on unclassified systems. Critical to their
conclusion was that the emails in question lacked
proper classification markings, that the senders often
refrained from using specific classified facts or terms in
emails and worded emails carefully in an attempt to
“talk around” classified information, that the emails
were sent to other government officials in furtherance
of their official duties, and that former Secretary Clinton
relied on the judgment of State Department employees
to properly handle classified information, among other
facts.
We further found that the statute that required the
most complex analysis by the prosecutors was Section
793(f)(1), the “gross negligence” provision that has
been the focus of much of the criticism of the
declination decision. As we describe in Chapters Two
and Seven of our report, the prosecutors analyzed the
legislative history of Section 793(f)(1), relevant case
law, and the Department’s prior interpretation of the
statute. They concluded that Section 793(f)(1) likely
required a state of mind that was “so gross as to almost
suggest deliberate intention,” criminally reckless, or
“something that falls just short of being willful,” as well
as evidence that the individuals who sent emails
containing classified information “knowingly” included or
transferred such information onto unclassified systems.
The Midyear team concluded that such proof was
lacking. We found that this interpretation of Section
793(f)(1) was consistent with the Department’s
historical approach in prior cases under different
leadership, including in the 2008 decision not to
prosecute former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales
for mishandling classified documents.
We analyzed the Department’s declination decision
according to the same analytical standard that we
applied to other decisions made during the
investigation. We did not substitute the OIG’s
judgment for the judgments made by the Department,
but rather sought to determine whether the decision
was based on improper considerations, including
political bias. We found no evidence that the
conclusions by the prosecutors were affected by bias or
other improper considerations; rather, we determined
that they were based on the prosecutors’ assessment of
the facts, the law, and past Department practice.
We therefore concluded that these were legal and policy
judgments involving core prosecutorial discretion that
were for the Department to make.

I said it in the other thread, but wow! This has got to sting even more than the fact no bias was found to have played any part in the conclusion of the investigation or the way things were handled. The IG confirming that the FBI was right to not pursue any charges against Clinton, destroys how many years now of GOP claims that she should be in cuffs and behind bars? Lock her up! Lock her up!

This section seems to go toward the false equivalency that Hannity has been constructing with Kristian Saucier. In this case, they relied upon the prosecutorial discretion of the FBI.

In the case of Saucier, it is reasonable to assume that his device could have been hacked by foreign intelligence services, and the pictures of the nuclear reactor/propulsion system could have been compromised. In this case, the DoD followed their prosecutorial protocol, which is to punish those that violate the standards for possession of classified material.

It’s an apples to oranges comparison.

Only on the decision to announce. Comey was always going to make a recommendation with DoJ. The investigation was done all along with prosecutors who all agreed with the declination.

The IG report does not name them but references them extensively in the report.

Within the Department, the Midyear investigation was primarily handled by the Counterintelligence and Export Control Section (CES) of the National Security Division (NSD), with support from two prosecutors in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA). All of the prosecutors assigned to the Midyear team had significant experience handling national security investigations or white collar criminal cases.

cool. So now the question would be about the recommendations of the two prosecutors, whether their politics are a mirror of Strokh and Page, and whether their biases affected their decisions. I know the report says there’s no evidence of it, but I would ask what would be evidentiary? How do you determine a persons state of mind when they make a decision? I honestly don’t think its possible. Especially when those decisions can be explained away and justified without determining state of mind. Much of the report seems to outline that when faced with method “A” or method “B” (either of which could be justified) they seemed to always choose whichever was the least damaging or intrusive even when the other option may have been more likely to elicit information.

After reading the report this is devastating…and it really blows libs narratives that they been spreading for the last two years.

I think it’s only going to get worst unless they win in Nov and sweep it all under the rug.

And thus the reason for the stalling/delaying tactics the CoJ and FBI are doing.
