I can’t speak for other conservatives but I think what they are happy about is seeing the backlash against a carbon tax which is what this protest started as. But like many protests and movements they often morph into something different.
For the most part I don’t see republicans defending the alt-right movement, but it’s perfectly mainstream to not denounce Antifa or even defend them as they often do on CNN.
The problem is their tiny GDP… It’s the socialism. And gosh, they have over 9% unemployment. So, let make energy even more expensive, so only the rich can run a business etc…
