Controversial Congresswoman Ilhan Omar doubled-down on her previous demands to forgive student debt in America over the weekend; saying the government must “cancel” over $1.5 trillion in education loans.

“This is the result of a system that tells students to go to college in order to have a stable life—but then keeps them in a lifelong cycle of debt. It’s why we need to make college tuition and debt-free and cancel all $1.5 trillion student debt,” posted Omar on social media.
