A task force created by outgoing Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel recommended Friday that the city government pay “struggling” residents upwards of $1,000 per month as part of a universal income program.

Just where do they think they are going to get the money for this? The city isn’t exactly rolling in cash. The state isn’t in any better shape and if they think the rest of the country is going to finance their largess, they have another think coming.
