Fort Knox Gold Stolen!

Anyone know why the sudden concern about the gold stored at Fort Knox being stolen?

Not heard this until a few days ago but now a lot of the right all over social media (musk included) are saying its critical we see inside Fort Knox to see if the gold is there.

Though if the gold is there someone will point to some minor imperfection in the quality of the video/pics as proof its not real gold or the video is doctored.

In my experience once a stupid conspiracy theory takes hold people will continue to run with it despite evidence to the contrary.

Weird. Let’s see the gold then.

I would assume it is safely guarded, but then I would assume our government wouldn’t transfer 20 billion dollars to a private bank so that government agencies and congress will have no oversight of our tax money.

Much less paying out $4.7 trillion in untraceable payments.

just another MAGA stupid conspirisy theory.

the gold is in fort knox.

It’s not sudden.

There’s been rumors about the gold being taken from there for decades.

It was even a B plot in a West Wing episode.

Parroting Project Veritas really never works out, you know.

I have never heard what veritas had to say about this, so there is that. It’s just my observation. Triggered you, did it?

Did you know the first financial agency agreements were made in 1863?

And if you didn’t know that Project Veritas is who you were parroting, that is just evidence that you never track stories you hear and just decide to believe down to their sources.

Which of course the generators of those stories rely upon.

Nobody trusts the government any more.

No, the source was the agency that found the transfer.

Do you mean DOGE?

FoxNews;

“The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator Lee Zeldin said Wednesday that his team has located $20 billion in tax dollars that the Biden administration purposely wasted.“
Zeldin said the EPA has plans to recover the “gold bars” that were found “parked at an outside financial institution,” which he does not mention by name.

Where are you getting that nonsense from? MSNBC online or CNN?

While you’re at it, Ft. Knox hasn’t been audited since the 70’s.

I can remember (long ago) auditing companies that stored defense department assets to verify that those articles were still there in the reported quantities. It would seem a no brainer to do it here, too.
That audit is in my memory mostly because the storage had a huge pile of similar items and the stock number I had randomly selected was at the bottom of the pile. The manager asked me if he could pick one off the top and I told him “sure, I’ll just note that you were not able to show me the requested item.” So he took the whole pile apart just to show me a part just like the one on top. He was not happy.

But the seals have been inspected to determine they are intact.

I have no problem if the gold is audited every year but no type of audit has been completed since 1986. I have seen on X some posts saying Biden stopped the audits which is patently untrue.

Does seem a bit weird as a nation we are not more concerned with auditing gold reserves. Not that it was on my radar before today.

This is the only pic I’ve ever seen of the gold there. While it does make me drool with excitement to smelt more ingots, I always envisioned a long hallway with pallets of bars, not some closet.
