Retroactive declaration for the work for a Turkey and he was 100% working for the interests of IP3 while serving as NSA. Those interests included transferring nuclear technology to the Saudis without the usual safeguards.

Super dirty.

Retroactive declaration for the work for Turkey is not the same thing as working for Turkey while serving in office.
Never heard of the other.

It’s an easy formula at this point. One that’s well-proven. It’s the political version of the Affinity Church scam.

“Q” is a real American/patriot. QAnon devotees see themselves as the same. Followers have put blind faith in the unknown Q to guide them to the promised land of a better America. Add in the secret society/information vibe and it’s even more addictive. (Very Wizard of Oz, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain type thing.)

At this point they can literally make things up, as Powell is doing, and they’ll fall for it. I guess maybe that’s a bit of sunk-cost coming into play. They’re so devoted and invested, giving up is not an option. It’s interesting group psychology. If an individual were strung along by an anonymous individual for years, promising results but always failing to deliver, most would eventually realize they’re being had and move on. “Q” has been doing this for over 3 years and QAnon continues to fall over itself for any new material. A person is smart, people are dumb.
