Oh, I understand what you’re thinking. But steel doesn’t scale small very well. Costs would be way too high. Plus you’re asking Ford to suddenly become experts in steel manufacture. It isn’t easy.

There’s no difference between the way the two were treated. Then again Carter felt great shame and admitted committing “adultery of the heart” for looking at another woman besides his wife covetously. Whereas Trump openly brags of affairs while his wives recover from childbirth. I mean, there’s no way to judge the relative morality of these two men. None. Only the legal standard. There was one criminal indictment under Carter, so that is devastating. Trump has managed to keep his to a tame few dozen.

The GOP needs to just cancel itself. Dems can run things for the next decade, and after the GOP timeout is over, they can come back and play in the sandbox if they promise to behave. I feel bad for the few GOPers left that don’t like what’s happening to their party. Us Dems are moving further and further to the left, so you have to take a huge leap to join us, or just ride out this misery where you are.

As for myself, I was a die hard republican all my life - until Trump got the nomination. I voted Republican in every primary, run-off, and general election since 1990 (when I was first eligible) - until November of 2016. Now I’m independent.

The way it’s looking now, I may very well vote democrat for the first time in my life for a couple of offices this year. The GOP has demonstrated that they are too far gone.
