This question has been weighing on me, so I have to ask;
Why do you still support Trump?
- He is a good President
- Revenge on libs
- Other (please explain)
There has been exactly 4 years in my life where the US was not engaged in new combat.
And then the slew of foreign and domestic policies that have been discussed here ad nauseam.

Those 4 years? Somebody was engaged somewhere. Been like that since the country was founded.
I will grant he tried.

I support him because, barring completely unforeseen circumstances, he is going to be the Republican nominee. Polls make that clear. Garland put the final touch on it.
Now if someone like DeSantis or maybe even Rubio ran I would likely vote for them in the primary, but it would make no difference.
As far as policies, I chiefly agree with his.
Could his ego and grand standing mess up 2024? Possible.

Trump will continue to be a divisive lightning rod if he wins another presidency. (Heck, he will be that even if he is not president.)
I’ll support DeSantis.
If Trump wins the GOP nomination, then I will hold my nose and support him over any Dem that they put up against him.

People that are the best at what they do usually do have a huge ego. You can see that in Doctors, Lawyers, Musicians, Actors, Football Players, etc.
When we chose a president based on his likable personality we end up with people like Jimmy Carter. Give me the best and I’ll overlook cosmetic flaws.

What, in your mind, is Trump the best at?

If those are the only two choices, I won’t vote for President.

Pretty much. I like most of his policies etc. I could certainly do without his bombastic nature. I don’t like that part of him. It’s what makes him so unlikable and for those who can’t see past that to what policies and changes he makes, makes them not support him because they are choosing feelings over policy.
I prefer DeSantis myself but if Trump is the nominee I will vote for him. I hate having to do the lesser of two evils crap, but it seems anymore that is what it comes down to in choices.

I support him because unlike the politicians I’ve seen for the last several decades, with Trump, what you see is what you get. Since he became POTUS, he doesn’t hide what he thinks, what he says or what he’s does. I certainly do not like everything about him but in comparison to most of those previously, he’s the lessor of the evils. Also…since the corrupt, political establishment plus almost every mainstream and social media source is actively working 24 hours a day against him, then he must be doing something right.

In my opinion. His greatest trait is his ability to make regular people believe that Trump is like them.
“He talks like us!”
“Taxes hurt him too”
“The government is after him too!”
Somehow they are convince that Trump isn’t an elite. Trump was literally born into wealth, he went to an elite school. But somehow he is not seen as one of them.
He has managed to get people to align identities with him based not on his history and upbringing but simple based on what he says today.

See I don’t understand how you came to this conclusion. He has literally been in legal trouble because of what he hides.
Hell he just plead the 5th, after claiming someone who does is hiding something/guilty.
And that’s it right there. In our system, after the primaries, one of two candidates will win: the candidate you generally agree with, and the candidate you don’t. The only other ootion is to waste your vote.
At this point I hope he doesn’t run. If he does I will support him. He got done some things that needed doing. There’s more to do.

O’Biden with Russia.
Trump with
Obama with Syria, Lybia, etc…
Bush with Afghanistan, Iraq, etc…
Clinton with Bosnia, Kosovo, etc…
H.W. Bush with Panama, Iraq, etc…
Reagan with the Falkland Islands, Grenada, etc…
None of that was new under him.

True, but he was in the chair.
