Its not that they couldnāt have done technological upgrades.
Its that they donāt want to do technological upgrades.
They donāt want live camera coverage of the court or even live audio feeds of sessions.
They are not going to allow the installation of equipment that would facilitate live coverage.
It seems they could wire up the DC Circuit en banc facility to a closed circuit to the Justiceās residences or chambers. Then have the attorneys show up at the DC Circuit and hold oral arguments there. That would get around their reluctance to wire up their own courtroom.
