Flu vaccine meeting cancelled

“No indication it’s been postponed,” he told CNN; “cancelled.”

He said it wasn’t clear who directed the meeting to be cancelled or why, and said it’s also not clear now how flu vaccine manufacturers will get guidance on the composition of seasonal flu vaccines - “relying on WHO recommendations? What’s the plan?” he said.

An email to the US Department of Health and Human Services seeking comment wasn’t immediately returned.

Seems like something an anti-vaxxer would do.

Nowhere near as bad as the fact that there was an Ebola outbreak in the Congo as well as that mystery illness that can kill within two days, and the US has mustered no response because, unlike Elon’s assertion that “yeah we ‘accidentally’ broke our disease response, but don’t worry, we have fixed it” we have absolutely not fixed it.

The CDC is a major factor in that response…and DOGE has just gutted them with layoffs.

But don’t worry…I’m sure it will work out.

While readingup on Ebola, which I suppose deserves it’s own thread, I came across this doozy.

Kennedy wrote in a 2021 book that people “have been misled by the pharmaceutical industry and their captured government agency allies into believing that measles is a deadly disease,” and that “outbreaks have been manufactured to create fear.” On Wednesday, he suggested that 18 other children are currently hospitalized with the measles in Texas as a simple quarantine measure. A doctor at the hospital told NBC that, in fact, they had all been admitted because they were having trouble breathing — and that none were vaccinated.

There’s a mystery illness that can kill in two days? What the hell is that? I know there is a strain of the plague that can kill you shortly after symptoms. But they probably would have tested for that, right?

Who knows!

The Congo has been calling the WH for days and they are not responding. Normally, by this point in these outbreaks we would have our people there assessing and assisting.

But we saved some money! So, you know, that’s all that matters.

The memes matter the most.

You mean to tell us the flu vaccine strain coverage is determined in a single FDA meeting?

Seems rather un-science like IMO.

A measles vaccine has been a requirement for kids in the public education system for decades. Coincidentally, I saw a report on the news last year that Bidens’ illegals had no vaccine mandates before being allowed to enter our country, and that some of them had measles. No Covid vaccine required either BTW. What a strange thing that now we have measles again, and in TEXAS of all places. I’m sure there’s no connection though to the illegals with measles being allowed into our country and measles in Americans now. Nope, no connection between Bidens’ incompetent stupidity, Libs love of illegals, disdain for Americans, and measles in Americans. Nothing to see here, move along…

And exactly how is this the problem of the US?

Remember when we tried to stop travel from Africa during an Ebola outbreak and the Dems went bananas?

Yes I am serious.

My goodness. It really must suck to be afraid of everything.

Just to clue you in. Ebola is not near as contagious as the China flu which was engineered to be contagious.

But hey, you can always hide back under the bed with your fellow scared of their shadow lefties .

A few, actually. But it has to be done by the end of March because it takes 6 months to get the vaccines tailored and manufactured. So, if we want to start vaccinating in September/October the work needs to start now.

Then again, we can just wing it and the vaccine manufacturers can guess what is on the horizon, with no input from the CDC.

What could go wrong? No need to bother protecting Senior citizens and immune compromised patients from a preventable death. Bootstraps and masks, I tell you!

The CDC can’t just publish and send the data?

Ebola has at one point become airborne, and it was in the US! Fortunately this strain skipped humans and just infected chimps in a research facility. But what excitement they had when they discovered an airborne Ebola in Virginia, just a few miles from Washington DC!

It could have killed millions! Nastily too. But all is well, it skipped humans (this time). No need to support those Africans who are mooching off of us.

What could go wrong?
